One of our sponsors, Dapper Classics, is having a sale this weekend, where you can knock 20% off shirts, ties, and trousers with the checkout code BET19.
We’re big fans of their trousers. They’re one of the few companies that sell contemporary-classic cuts (i.e., a medium rise with a slimmer leg line) at a reasonably affordable price. Dapper Classics’ trousers are about $200, depending on the material, which is roughly $100 less than comparable Italian makes. The quality is also quite good. Their Fresco trousers, for example, are made from a tropical wool fabric that’s typically only available to customers of bespoke tailors. All trousers are lined to the knee, feature a rear-split waistband, and come unfinished so that you can get them hemmed however you need.
I like the taupe Fresco (a surprisingly useful color and nearly as versatile as mid-gray), beige linen (perfect with navy sport coats this summer), brown moleskin (good with chunky Arans in navy or cream and waxed cotton Barbours), and the two shades of basic gray wools (a staple). The sale ends tonight, Eastern Standard Time.
(Note, although Dapper Classics is a sponsor at Put This On, we don’t do sponsored posts. We’re just genuine fans of their stuff).
