The Bureau Belfast – a Northern Ireland shop that specializes in funky workwear and retro-mountaineering inspired clothing – just made their second round of price drops. Take a little a more off if you don’t have to pay EU taxes (which are included in the price). Some notable items:
- A couple of Aldens, including a tan pair of Indy boots.
- Lots of casual Gitman Vintage shirts, which are nice when worn untucked.
- This past season’s 1970s Chuck Taylor repros, which are similar to your standard Chucks, but made with a thicker sole (you can see a comparison here). I kind of want these white high-tops.
- Tons of Engineered Garments and EG Workaday items. This ripstop utility jacket could be useful as a layering piece (over a shirt and underneath a heavy coat).
- Some funky stuff from Needles, including this patchwork BDU jacket. I’ve been wearing one for the last year and really like it, but be warned that the silhouette can vary a little from piece to piece – even within the same size – given the design. If you buy one, you should be OK with a slightly fumpy look.
- Some items from the wabi sabi brand Kapital. I think this long-sleeved jersey would look pretty good underneath that BDU jacket mentioned earlier.
- Ten C is an outerwear line by some former Stone Island/ CP Company designers. Technically interesting garments, but done in a very wearable, not-overly-techy-looking way. Prices are expensive though, even on sale.
