Bespoke England is having a clearance sale this week on John Lobb factory seconds, store samples, and odds & ends from previous seasons. Prices start at about $250, although most of the nicer models clock in around $400. Not bad for shoes that retail for $1,300 or more. Included are two of my favorite models: the City II oxford, which is built on the exceptionally well shaped 7000 last, and the William double monk in pebble grain (good for wear with tweed and heavy overcoats).
Probably best to know your own sizing, but if you’re new to the company, know that John Lobb’s E fitting is their medium width and that most people go a full size down from their US size. So, I take a 9D in most US shoes, but wear an 8E in John Lobb. As they say though, your mileage may vary.
