In celebration of Fourth of July, Michael Spencer is running a promotion on some of their custom-shirts. Take $40 off when you order any shirt using their blue candy striped, red candy striped, or solid white oxford fabrics. That brings their prices down from $135 to $95 (with free shipping).
The thing I like most about Michael Spencer’s shirts: their oxford-cloth button-downs are available with unlined collars, giving them a softer collar roll. Brooks Brothers recently brought back their unlined collars, but they run a hefty $140 (plus tax). Michael Spencer’s shirts fit the same, but they’re a bit cheaper and everything is customizable and made-to-order. That means being able to get that soft, unlined collar and chest pocket (which Brooks Brothers disappointingly took away).
If you’re confused about Michael Spencer’s fit options, know their “vintage fit” is similar to Brooks’ “traditional;” their “classic” is similar to Brooks’ “classic;” and their “modern” is similar Brooks’ “slim fit.” You can also read more about the company in an old post we did last year.
Note, the promotion runs ‘till July 14th.
