Now is a good time to poke around some sale sections. This week, many stores dropped prices in their sale sections, and given where we are in the sale cycle, prices will likely never be lower (assuming you can still find something in your size, anyway). Some notables:
- No Man Walks Alone: Take an additional 15% off already-marked down prices when you spend over $200 (just use the checkout code EXTRA15). Some of my favorite items at the moment include this Sartoria Formosa tweed sport coat, Scott & Charters shawl collar cardigan, Inis Meain alpaca-silk blend turtleneck (this is super soft), Eidos water-resistant field jacket, and Sozzi black knit tie (good for summer). I also picked up a pair of these Naissance double-pleated chinos earlier this season. They’re a carrot cut, which means they’re super full at the top and then sharply taper to hem. You can see the cut being worn in No Man Walks Alone’s fall/ winter lookbook.
- Division Road: From now until Monday at 6pm PST, you can take an additional 20% off sale prices with the code lastcall20. There are some great basics here, such as this seersucker shirt from Gitman Vintage and washed denim button-up from Corridor. Either could be worn casually or used to dress down a sport coat. I also like these wool bomber jackets from APC and Private White VC, belted double-breasted topcoat from APC, and brown turtleneck from Andersen-Andersen. These Crescent Down Works puffer vests, available in navy and tan, would also make for great layering pieces over a flannel shirt during the transitional seasons.
- Unionmade: Take an additional 40% off sale items, from now until Sunday night, with the checkout code FLASH40. I’m a big fan of Chimala, a Japanese workwear brand, and Unionmade has their mountain trooper jacket, washed chambray shirt (this is slightly pre-distressed, but in the best of ways), and canvas Norfolk-style hunting coat (Frances May has the same coat in size medium). I also dig this mid-blue Our Legacy sweater, chunky Paraboot Tyrolean shoes (ugly, but charming), suede Wolverine work boots, red Levi’s Vintage Clothing flannel shirt, and selection of Donegal-style Harley of Scotland knitwear.
