Put This On wouldn’t be possible without the support of our sponsors, so twice a month, we like to give them a special shout out and say what’s going on with them.
Ledbury just posted their holiday gift guide. They have suggestions for the father, husband, traveler, and executive in your life, as well as stocking stuffer ideas, such as cashmere hats, scarves, belts, ties, and socks. If you’re under a budget, they have ideas for you too – dozens of gifts are organized by certain price amounts, from the “under $50″ category to the very generous “over $200.”
Next, The Hanger Project just added some new umbrellas to their store. Included are a bunch of restocks on Maglia Francescos, as well as some special one-off commissions from Mario Talarico (a two-man, speciality shop in Naples, Italy). Each umbrella is constructed from a single piece of a wood, so that there’s no break between the handle and shaft.
Paul Winston over at Chipp Neckwear continues to offer some of the lowest prices around for neckwear. In addition to his ancient madders for fall and silk Matkas for summer, he also has Italian knit ties you can wear year round. A little floppier and more casual, they’re designed to be worn with tweed sport coats, linen suits, and navy blazers.
Over at Gustin, they have some new hooded sweatshirts. Made in the USA from domestic materials, these are constructed from a 10oz, loop-back French Terry cotton that’s been milled in Los Angeles. As with everything Gustin produces, these are offered on a pre-order, direct-to-customer basis, so that they can give the lowest price possible.
Finally, our thanks to Proper Cloth and Private White VC. Proper Cloth also just put up their holiday gift guide, as well as some new fabrics (some just came last week, but new ones are set to debut Monday). Private White VC, meanwhile, has some new cashmere topcoats and shooting jackets, designed to be worn on those cold, blustery days.
