Sad news from Massachusetts, as Louis Boston, one of the country’s finest high-end menswear stores, has announced it will close. Like San Francisco’s Wilkes Bashford, it was one of the last independent luxury department stores, and one of the very few to focus on men.
The reason for the closing? The store’s owner, great-granddaughter to the family retail business’ founder, is 59 and wants to retire.
(Thank you, Andrew)
