The US is pretty divided these days. Apparently, so much so that you can narrow in on the general area where someone grew up, depending on what they call certain things. Are those insects that light up at night fireflies or lightning bugs? Do you drink soda, pop, or Coke? When you sell stuff in front of your house, are you having a yard sale, garage sale, or tag sale?
Maybe the most surprising of all: APPARENTLY ALMOST EVERYONE IN THE US CALLS SNEAKERS “TENNIS SHOES!”
