Pearls are lovely little accoutrements for necklaces and other jewelry, but the inside of an oyster has a few more uses. Mother of Pearl, that stuff that’s in an oyster that aren’t those special little balls that people clutch when they’re upset, is a highly versatile and handsome material that has been used in menswear for generations on generations for buttons but can be employed for so many other purposes.
Our shop is filled with cufflinks that are either accented or entirely Mother of Pearl. They go well with just about every kind of shirt without drawing too much attention to themselves. But you can also find a couple fun uses of the material, like on a pocket knife, for when you want that opaque gleam somewhere besides your wrist. Check them out, try them on, and see if you’re one bad mother shut your mouth.
